Dave Kelbrick Signature Series

The Dave Kelbrick signature series of rods comprises of five different rods which have been designed, tested and proven to be amongst the best of their kind. Each purpose built rod is of the highest quality and between them they cover all the lure fishing requirements you are ever likely to encounter.

At the lighter end of the range is the single handed pistol grip Hitman for the mobile approach and light lures of between 15-50g coupled with 15-30lb braid. Then there is the Finesse which has been especially designed for use with Micro Jerks and light lures of 20-50g and 40-50lb braid. If spinnerbaits and spoons are your thing then look no further than the Bladerunner which is also capable of dealing with lures of 12-56g and suited to 30lb braid.

At the heavier end of the scale the Reflex is ideal for use with spinnerbaits, light jerkbaits and crankbaits of 20-100g and 50-70lb braid. Last but not least we have the Sleuth for use with medium and large jerkbaits, soft plastics and crankbaits of 30-140g coupled with braid of between 80-100lb test. All models except the Bladerunner are fitted with trigger grip reel seats for multiplier use and each model features a full cork handle and high quality line guides.

Minuscule 7ft 6

If light weight lure fishing is your thing then this 7' 6" two piece 15 - 25g is the rod for the job. The Minuscule is designed to be fished in conjunction with its name sake lure range and smalllight weight spinners. The soft blank ensures maximum distance can be obtained when casting such lures. This is the ideal two piece light lure rod for fixed spool reel use when coupled with 20lb test braid and for targeting perch, pike, chub and zander and it really is a joy to play fish on the Minuscule. Features include full cork handle, top quality guides and keeper ring.

Hotrod 6ft 2

The DK Hotrod features a top quality, ultra-slim one pieceblank measuring 6ft 2 in length. Don't be fooled by the slender blank as the Hotrod features new technology whichallows it to retain the strength and action of thicker diameterjerkbait rods. A full cork handle, trigger grip reel seat and highquality guides combine to make this is a an out and out jerkbait rod that will handle just about anything you want tothrow at it. Whether it's Reef Hawgs, Runts or giant jerkbaits,coupled with 80 - 100lb test braid the Hotrod casts and worksthem all with ease!

Plugger 8ft 4

At 8ft 4 long, the DK Plugger is suited for both bank and boatuse. A casting rating of 20 - 80g means the Plugger can beused with a wide size and range of various plugs and somesoft plastic lures too. The plugger is a two piece rod and is made for use with fixed spool reels and braids of around 50lb -65lb test. This excellent rod has a full cork handle, qualityguides and offers good casting power; it sets lure hooks with ease and handles hard fighting predators admirably.

Silure X Clonk

The Fox Silure range of catfish rods has taken more than two years of fine tuning and development, in conjunction with our consultants and some of Europe’s most successful big cat anglers. We believe this range to be the most comprehensive and technically proficient available, encompassing designs which will cope with every possible catfish angling scenario.

The Silure rods have been thoroughly tested not only on some of Europe’s premier big catfish venues, but also saltwater fishing on the African West coast and hunting the mighty Amazonian Arapa?mas.

As the name suggests, the 6’ Silure X Clonk rod has been designed for fishing the devastating ‘clonk’ method. This extremely effective technique is used from a boat, right under the rod tip and has accounted for many giant catfish from all over Europe.

These close range tactics with such powerful fish require a rod that is forgiving and shock absorbing with a parabolic action. The Silure Clonk offers these attributes together with the power reserves further down the butt section to tame the very biggest catfish.

Silure X Boat Rods

The Fox Silure range of catfish rods has taken more than two years of fine tuning and development, in conjunction with our consultants and some of Europe’s most successful big cat anglers. We believe this range to be the most comprehensive and technically proficient available, encompassing designs which will cope with every possible catfish angling scenario.

Silure X Power Boat

This extremely powerful one piece 6’10” Power Boat rod has been specifically designed to cope with the brute strength of the largest catfish on wide, powerful rivers. Designed to be used with a multiplier, the unique action of the blank and the ringing format make it ideal for use with braided mainlines.

Due to the nature of the fishing and the no compromise power of the blank, recommended breaking strains are between 50 & 80lbs. The butt design and extra long hand grip above the reel seat are configured to exert maximum pressure on these huge fish and create optimum leverage.

The butt section is fitted with a gimball, allowing you to fit a Fox Power Pad to absorb and spread the load during lengthy fights. The one piece blank is essential for fishing from a boat with the weight of a large catfish directly below you – the unusual stresses that result can easily blow apart a two piece rod joint. However, this rod is not solely about power; the deceptively delicate tip allows you to see the bait ‘working’ and soon alerts you if there is a big catfish in the area.

Silure X Boat

Purpose designed for subduing large, powerful fish at close proximity from boats, the 8’ Silure X Boat rod has a shock absorbing top with abundant power coming through in the middle and butt sections. The rod is superbly well balanced in terms of both ideal length and perfect power distribution. These properties also make the rod perfect for trolling lures when targeting giant fresh and saltwater specimens.

Silure X Bank

The 10’ SilureX Bank rod is designed as the perfect tool for casting heavy baits and overpowering the strongest of catfish from the bank. The power distribution allows the angler to harness the full potential of the rod making it suitable not only for big cats, but also for Nile perch and other large saltwater specimens.

One of the first fish taken on the Silure X rods was this 168lb cat fish from the river Ebro in Spain, taken by angling guide Martin Walker.

M.B. Special Deadbait 11’6” 2.75 lb tc

If you are looking for a rod that will cope with close to medium range pike fishing on drains, rivers and smaller still waters, this is it! I’ve designed this rod to be light and responsive but with plenty of backbone, so they cast like a dream, have excellent line pick up on the strike, resulting in very positive hook ups. I have not blindly followed fashion and created yet another 12ft rod. Using modern materials I have concentrated on making a better rod; which is my favourite for float fishing deadbaits and paternoster techniques, but will cast a legered bait a long way.

M.B. Extreme Deadbait 11’9” 3.25 lb tc

For the angler fishing bigger waters and deadbaits at medium to long range, I have developed a more powerful version of the Special Deadbait. Capable of throwing bigger baits to much further distances, this rod is my choice for big pits, reservoirs and loughs. It is light and responsive like the 2.75 lb version, but everything is beefed up to cope with the extra strain that such a rod has to take. Equally at home with braid (30lb to 50lb BS) or mono (15lb to 20lb BS) lines.

M.B. Special Boat 10’3” 3.00 lb tc

I have developed this rod especially for the boat angler. It has all the attributes of my bank fishing rods but its shorter length permits better lever age when bringing up hard fighting fish and the shortened handle makes it more manoeuvrable in the confines of a small boat. I use it for a multitude of purposes, from deadbait-ing and drifter float fishing to trolling with baits or lures. Whether a float on big waters or smaller rivers and lakes, this rod will cope with any situation. It fits nicely in the Fox trolling rod holder too.

M.B. Spin Stick 7’ 20-70g

I have always thought there should be just one rod that is suitable for all but the very specialised extremes of lure fishing.The Spin Stick is designed very much with this in mind; a rod for the angler who might only want one model to cope with a widerange of lures. I use the Spin Stick with a fixed spool reel loaded with 50 lb braid for spinnerbaits, soft baits, plugs, spoons andspinners. A powerful rod with the backbone to strike hits firmly and play hard fighting fish. It also makes a great trolling rod too.

M.B. Jiggin Stick 6’6” 15-50g

Jigging demands a rod with the correct sensitivity to detect bites, and yet still have plenty of backbone to set hooks and play fish firmly. As much of my jigging is done in darkness, I’ve concluded that ‘feel’ is far more important than watching the rod tip, and I have ensured that this rod has exactly the right stiffness and sensitivity to do this. This is the ideal rod for use with Fox Chubby Shads, Twin Tails and Creature Spins.It’s also a fantastic general purpose lure rod too, and ideal for smallerspinnerbaits like the Fox Hornet, Micro Jerks. Designed for use with a fixed spool reel loaded with 20 to 30lb BS braid
